Privacy

A plain account of what we collect, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the controls you have.

The short version

  • Your journals, child pages, prayers, budgets and wellness entries are visible to you alone. Other members never see them.
  • We do not sell data, run advertising, or track you across other websites.
  • You can export everything stored under your account, and you can delete your account yourself in the Privacy Center (inside the member area, under Account → Privacy).
  • We do not claim end-to-end encryption, HIPAA compliance, or absolute anonymity — those claims would not match how the service is built.

What we collect

  • Account: email address, a display name, your membership tier and preferences.
  • Content you write: journal entries, saved prayers, child pages (nickname and optional notes), calendar events, budget and finance worksheets, wellness check-ins, course work and reflections.
  • Prayer requests: details you type for AI-assisted prayers and the study assistant.
  • Mentoring and consultations: mentor applications, identity documents you upload for screening, session notes you choose to share, and appointment records.
  • Billing: purchase and subscription records created by our payment processor (Stripe).
  • Site analytics: page views, button/link labels clicked, device type, referring site, and a random visitor ID stored in your browser. We do not send page content, message text, or anything your children's pages contain to analytics.

What we minimize on purpose

A child's nickname and a broad age range are enough to use every feature. We do not ask for birth dates, school names, home addresses, medical details or photographs of your children, and no feature requires them. Please follow the on-page guidance and do not add sensitive details you do not need to store.

Who can see your information

  • Other members: nothing from your private sections — not your journal, child pages, wellness entries or budgets.
  • Your mentor: the goals and session details you choose to share within a mentoring match, and nothing else. Ending a match ends their access.
  • Course instructors: only work you explicitly mark for review. Private worksheets stay private.
  • Consultation providers: your appointment details and the follow-up note shared with you.
  • Our screening team: mentor identity documents and applications, for safeguarding only.
  • Operators: staff with administrative access can reach account data through the management console when needed for support, safety, legal duties, or fixing faults. There is no administrative screen for reading journals or family pages, and we do not read them routinely — but "no staff access" is not a claim we make.

Processors we rely on

We cannot run the service without these providers, who process data on our instructions:

  • Hosting and database — the platform that serves the site and stores the database.
  • Payments — Stripe handles card payments; we never see your card number.
  • Email delivery — sign-up, password reset, receipts and book download links.
  • AI — the details you type into AI prayer and study features are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Prompts are used to answer you and are not stored in our database; usage counts are stored so limits apply.

Security — stated honestly

  • Data travels over HTTPS encryption in transit and is stored in a managed database with access controls.
  • Admin access to the management console requires a second factor (an authenticator-app code).
  • We do not use end-to-end encryption, and we do not claim HIPAA compliance. Please do not store clinical records here.
  • No system is perfectly secure; we handle reports of problems at contact@mywarriormom.com.

Backups

The database is backed up on a routine schedule. If you delete content or your account, it is removed from the live database immediately, but copies can remain in backups for a limited period until they age out. We keep a deletion log so that if a backup is ever restored, deleted accounts are re-cleaned from it. We do not promise instant erasure from backups.

How long we keep things

  • Your content: until you delete it, or until account deletion (which removes it immediately).
  • Billing and transaction records: 7 years, as required for tax and legal purposes. These survive account deletion.
  • The deletion log: 2 years, so restored backups can be re-cleaned.
  • Site analytics: kept in our database in aggregate-friendly form (paths, labels, device type) with no message content.

Your controls

  • Export: sign in and open Account → Privacy to download everything stored under your account in a machine-readable JSON file, plus a readable summary.
  • Delete: the same page lets you delete your account. It asks you to confirm your password, explains what happens to your membership, and removes your personal content immediately. Billing records are kept 7 years; the deletion log is kept 2 years.
  • Sharing: sharing is always something you switch on — sharing a course submission or joining a mentoring match never exposes your journal, family pages or budgets.

Children and age

Warrior Mom is for adult mothers (18+). Information about children is entered and controlled by the parent on the parent's own account. Children do not have accounts, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us at contact@mywarriormom.com.

Legal duties

We may disclose information where the law requires it — for example a valid legal order — or where necessary to protect someone from serious harm. We do not disclose private content for marketing, ever.
